Daniel has a way of breathing life into paint. Individual lines, drips, and globs become protagonists in a narrative only truly decipherable by the artist. His decision-making is driven by intuition but never in haste; every color and mark is thoughtfully specific and faithfully serves the dynamics of his compositions. Daniel’s paintings don’t seek or find completion in a viewer’s understanding of its purpose or message, but are simply the result of a highly idiosyncratic approach to image-making.
Daniel received his MFA from Boston University. He lives and works in Brooklyn, NY.
