As a technical master of painted surfaces, much of Dennis' professional career has been spent behind the scenes creating installation works for the renowned artist duo, Jonah Freeman and Justin Lowe. In his own body of painting Dennis draws from his deep bag of faux finish tricks to make multi-panel paintings; the experience of which hovers between color field painting and some sort of abstract environmental narrative. Walking past one of Dennis' five panel works is akin to a sleepless drive through the American south west; snapshots of arid earth linger in your memory marking both the passing of time and distance.
Dennis lives and paints in Brooklyn. He was recently profiled in the September 2013 edition of Modern Painter.
